How to find my QPS server name?

Hi,

I would like to publish an app, created in Qlik Sense Desktop 3.2.

According to the section Managing a Qlik Sense site ‒ Qlik Sense, I need to access the QMC, given by the following address: https://<QPS server name>/qmc: But how do I find my QPS server name?

Hi Benjamin, it might be a stupid question, but do you have Qlik Sense Server installed already? Otherwise with the desktop version you just have access to the hub. If you have installed the server version somewhere, your QPS server name will be the host name you've assigned to the central node.

QPS = Qlik Sense Proxy Service - so its your Qlik Sense server machine name

Hi Andres, no I don't have Qlik Sense Server: All files related to Qlik Sense are stored on my computer. I don't want to installa on Qlik Sense server for confidentiality reasons. Would it be possible to use a local server belonging to my company instead? How can I do it? Thank you

So if you are using Qlik Sense Desktop there is no way to enter QMC - because there is no QMC in Qlik Sense Desktop.

Qlik Sense Desktop is already local server, it's working throught self browser. So if you want to use Qlik Sense reports in company using QSD, it's only way to intall QSD on every computer which will be using to watch Qlik Sense reports.

And after complete developing your apps you must copy QVF-file of this app to all this computers.

Then people can work with your reports.
