QVD STORING FAILED

Hi Qlikers,

i have a problem to store a qvd in a path.

When QlikView try to store the table in the path the script is stopped!!!

I've saved other qvds to check the path and every qvd has been saved correctly.

It could be a dimension problem because the table has 276.563 rows for 5 fields.

Has the QVD a limit of dimension????

Hi Michele,

Could be that the QVD your trying to store is locked  by another QVW for some reason.

Try closing all QVW files or use windows to see which files are locked (forgot how to actually see where to see the file handlers in windows).

There's no limit for the store and your table is quite small and should be stored quickly, so I imagine is something with the OS locking the file.

I've opened only one file but everytime that i launch the reload the script works well till the store, but it isn't able to store the table.

I've tried to store another table in the same path and it has worked fine.

I've tried also to store the table with the problem in another path but it doesn't work.

There is a problem with this table surely but i don't know what.

Is the QVD already created on the folder or is it the first time?

Can you share the app and some sample data your trying to store?

The problem has been solved!!!

The qvd was used from another Qlik file and it wasn't possible to overwrite it during the using period.

Everything works correctly now!!
