Adding Excel Data without Losing Previous Data Load

Hi!

I've been working on designing my first Qlikview dashboard with data that was loaded into the document by the IT department at the company I work for. I don't have access to the database from which they loaded the data I'm working with.

I'd like to add a table to the existing data which joins on "Fiscal_Period" in order to add the field "Working_Day" which will allow me to know the number of work days for a given fiscal period.

Is there a way to add this table without clicking "reload" and losing all of the data I do not have access to?

Thanks an advance for any help!

You could either change script to do a Partial Reload.

What is meant by partial reload? What is its use? Please explain!

OR

You could create a blank application that pulls in the original data in the original QVW through a binary load.

Thanks for your help!

Couldn't get the binary solution to work, but was able to figure out the partial reload.
