Is it a good practice to create a crosstable in the extractor?

Hi,

I am loading some tables to save them in the raw qvds I will need for my application. I was wondering: can I get away with loading extract qvds as crosstables or should I only extract that information without any transformation whatsoever as a best practice?

Thank you.

Depending on how your data looks it might make sense to use CrossTable load... Do you have pivoted data?

Thank you for your reply, I have data that I need in a pivoted way for an app (it is large), so that was why I was wondering if it was better to:

a) To have the pivoted data in a table/view previous to the extractions of QlikView

b) To crosstable load the information in the QV extraction step

c) Pivot the data in the QV transformation step

Regrds.
