I am using win7 64BIT and i try to install the desktop version, but get error...

Hi,

I am using a win7 64bit and i try to install the desktop software Qlik Sense Desktop.

But i get an error and the installation does not finish....

In the log i see the following:

Product: Qlik Sense Desktop -- Installation failed.

How can i solve it?

Hi Yuval,

Is this the first time your are installing Qlik Sense Desktop version June 2017 on this workstations? If the answer is negative, what is the current QS Desktop version installed on it? if the version is other than 3.2, then you need to upgrade first to version 3.2 then to version June-2017.

You should also have local admin permission to the PC.

Hi Yuval,

Try to do below steps and let us know if still have issue. thanks

1) Make sure that you have .NET 4.5 installed in your machine

2) Install Microsoft Visual C++ =redistributable Package (u can download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package)

3) a) If there any existing installation, try to uninstall

   b) Remove the  %ProgramData%\Qlik directory

   c) Remove the PackageCache folder in the %ProgramData% folder

after that try to install it and run Qlik Sense executable as administrator ( right-click > Run as administrator)

Hi,

I have QS desktop 3.1 SR4 which shows a blank white screen on start...

and if i click control+shift and dev tools i see the error in the console:

"

Hi,

I have found version 3.2.2 and it is installed successfully!

It works and i dont get a blank screen!

But if i try to upgrade it to june 2017 i get an error like before:

At least i have a working version now, not the latest but its working.

How can i upgrade to the latest version?

Hi Yuval,

I am experiencing a very similar problem than yours with one of our users, it is running QS Desktop version 3.2 and refusing to get QS Desktop June-2017 version, I will try Devarasu's suggestion and write back to this thread tomorrow (actually 16+ hours from now)
