The answer depends on many things...
- If you are a new customer, most likely you need to start using Qlik Sense, because it's a newer tool, and it is the one that will be continuously developed in the future. It doesn't cover 100% of QlikView functionality, but you won't miss it if you never used it.
- If you are a new developer who is looking for a job, you might consider starting from QlikView, because vast majority of existing Qlik clients are still using QlikView, and you might have better chances of finding a job with QlikView skills.
- Keep in mind that the skills are mostly transferable. The interface is different, but the most important concepts and techniques are universal.

any way pre-requisite knowledge for(QlikView /Qlik Sense) QV/QS are
-->Data base Knowledge (Oracle,Sql server...etc)
-->Data Warehouse concepts like (Schemas,Diff b/w Dimension and Fact Tables)
and some more business related ideas i mean which you working those Domains(Health care,banking,Expport import..etc)
Note:-Preferable QS after QV learning.because QV is foundation for QS.
