Save selections

How can we allow a user to save the selections they made in the report ?

Eg; if a user makes selections on  a report, and later close/logouts the report , and reopen the report- the same previous selections should apply.

How to achieve this apart from using bookmarks?

In QS you can't share bookmarks yet.  I think that it is possible to publish user content(sheets) to the main app and make available to all users.  Not sure about bookmarks. 

Whoever is your root admin can update security rules.  There is a rule that is specific to this.  But I can't remember the name of it.

It's not any easier with mashups, actually harder. The only reason I asked about mashups was to understand why your users didn't have a bookmark menu option.  I wasn't suggesting mashups were a solution.

The rule you need to look at is:

Make sure that this is not disabled. if it has been modified, you would need to modify the rule to allow for bookmarks.
