Question about a license issue

Hello

We are running QV 9.0.7646.9 on a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 x64 server.

We have a developer here when they log in and open QV it always opens in the personal license edition even though under Cals / under assigned users,  his name is added and he is logged in under the same name with no issues.

but everytime he goes in it opens QV x64 with a personal edition license instead of the license assigned to him.

Is there anything i need to check or do to fix this for this user?

thanks

Hi,

Make sure that you have a Named Cal License.

If you have that then tell your developers to follow the below stpes to lease the license.

   First thing is server configuration.

QEMC ->  System -> License ->  Qlikview Server -> Here check the Allow License lease.

   Once you do this.

Open the qlikview -> file -> Open in server -> Select the server on which you have assigned then the Cals.

Open any document and close it.

Now your qlikview will run on lease and will not show you the personal edition.

In addition to Kaushik's suggestions, make sure that he is not trying to lease from a test server since this will not work.

If this doesn't help, open a ticket with QlikView Support and we will take it from there.

Gustav

That did it.

It was already licensed he had to open from server.

But if he was working on that server why do we need to open it again on that server.. seems counter-intuative.

Nonetheless, perfect answer fixed.
