Sizing Guidelines

Hi,

please suggest for Sizing guidelines for 10TB size of database and number of dashboards to analysis in qlik sense.

What kind of data it is? What's the database? The more details you give, the more precise answer you get.

Hi Rag, we work also with big databases but, we work just with the last 3 years, se use de more accurate filters in the extraction to get just the reccs with we will work.

You must send more detail in order we can help you...

I have 10 TB of data in oracle database, trying to create new setup and i want analysis of that data like slicing, dicing and visualization using Qlik sence. i want to know what would be system requirement for this amount of data like (CPU`s , Memory , server configuration) and please help in architecture for 10 TB data visualization using qlik sence.

Well, although you have a 10 tb database, you don't work with 10 tb at the same time... you must work with information from a single business area, and you must filter data in order to work just with the data that you want analyze... Beside you can work with the ETL proccess in an app for each part of the proccess... this way to work help you to have control over the total proccess, is just a way to work. the idea is the next:

1- Exraction app.- Extract the data from the source database and store the result in an qvd file.

2- Trasformation app - Get the qvd maked in extraction app and make all trasformations over the data to make business sense information, and also store de results in a qvd.

3- And finaly Get the final qvd and make your dashboard.

32 GB RAM

8 cpu's virtual proccesors.
