I am using QlikView 10 (free) personal edition.
I used MS Query via MS Excel to connect to the datasource so that I could form the SQL commands for the selection criteria to select the required dataset.
I copied the commands to QlikView.
QlikView did not return the dataset that I expected. The MS Excel query did return the expected dataset.
Only when I closed MS Excel did QlikView return the expected dataset.
This would indicate that there was some contention / locking of records, and that QlikView could not retrieve the records that were currently retrieved in MS Excel.
Can anyone educate me as to what is happening here.

WE HAVE RESOLVED THIS ISSUE. IT WAS A POBLEM WITH THE SOURCE DATABASE.
