End of lease hardware refresh cannot find Publisher

We have three servers in play:

• P2261 has our licensed copy of QlikView Distribution Service ONLY (no other QV services are even installed on this box)
• Z475 Production server with the full install but QlikView Distribution Service is set to Manual
• D2750 Test server with the full install but QlikView Distribution Service is set to Manual

Everything was great then the hardware lease expires on Z475

So we put the new Z475 hardware in the rack and again install the full QV server package with QlikView Distribution Service set to Manual. Reboot, install Server License

However, in Z475:4780/qmc/SystemSetup.htm there is no "Distribution Services" tab. So we cannot add P2261.

What is the proper way to tell Z475 that QlikView Distribution Service is on P2261?

I will spare you what we did because we are not sure what eventually got it to work.

The new lease expires in 3 years so we (or some poor souls)  will have to go through this again

Hello Carl,

Based upon your description, it sounds as if Publisher isn't licensed correctly. Can you confirm? Screen captures of the QMC > Status > Services tab & QMC > System > Setup tab, along with copy of the QMC > System > About tab info saved as a .txt file would be helpful.

Indeed. You didn't say that you installed the Publisher license. Did you do so? It's a different license code from your Server license.
