Any work around for color by expression, show legend?

Do we have any work around to format chart series colors by expression and still show the legend on the chart.

If you are using Qliksense higher than 3.1 then by using master item you can assign customized color to Dimension Values and Measures and then can use library colors

Thanks for the quick response.

Since the chart in my report has dynamic dimensions ( variant number of items), coloring with master dimension does not feasible.

when you say color by expression, then how do you want to assign custom color? what will be the condition?

Lets say the there are variant number of products by region, the product name and color codes  R G B will loaded in data script.
