Drill Down Group not working

Hello All,

I am facing one issue that my Drill Down group for ([EMP NAME] + [EMP MANAGER NAME]) is not working for a particular month.

Like for if i select Oct, 2017 then the default selection in the drill down is [EMP MANAGER NAME] and it shows correctly and drill down works.

But when i select Nov, 2017, it automatically drills down and only [EMP NAME] is shwon and drill up doesnt work.

Can you please help me finding the logic what can be the cause for it?

Hi Shashank,

My guess is that for Nov, 2017 you only have the [EMP NAME] field, not being associated to any [EMP MANAGER NAME].

Can you share your app?

But i have. i have Manager name for one emp for Nov, 2017 and also i am showing accumulated data in the chart which is working fine till Oct, 2017. But on Nov, 2017 it is not working

This is normal functionality with drill-down groups where only 1 value is returned.

If there is just 1 result then that level is skipped and the drill goes down to the next level.

Do All the Employees selected in Nov 2017 have the same Manager, whereas those you selected in Oct 2017 have several managers

Only one enter comes for Nov, 2017 with one Employee & his/her Manager. So one-one enter for both. Your answer is helpful is if there is only one entry then it drills down to next level.

But my question here will be now that if i am having rolling data in the chart and accumulation is there then why it doesn't just add on the one entry in the Nov, 2017 aand show for Manager level only as it is working fine till Oct, 2017?

When you select data with more than 1 manager then the drill-down will work as you expect and show the manager level then the Employee level.

If there is just one manager, the Qlik does not show the level with one value when you drill, and goes straight to the next level with multiple values.

This is the way the Drill-Down groups work.

Select data that shows more than 1 manager for Nov2017 and your drill will work as you expect.
