NPrinting Import Reports - only see some of my reports

I've been working with NPrinting 16 and installed 17.6 now and need now to migrate my reports.

I've exported the .zip file in Version 16 and when I try to import a report, it only shows 3 Reports but not the others. I have the same when I try to import html oder excel (xlsx) reports.

Has anyone had a similar Problem?

Thanks, Matt

NPritning 16 and NPrinitng 17 are completly different products!!!

I am sure you have read help document regarding this

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2017/Content/ReportsDevelopment/Import-reports.htm

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2017/Content/ReportsDevelopment/Import-export-report-f...

and you are fully aware of limitations of migration process due to differences in both tools capabilities (see table under the link)

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2017/Content/Introduction/Introduction.htm

I am actualy impressed that you have managed to migrate something as normaly you would hava to recreate templates from scratch. I believe latest version are more compatible with NP16 and more functionalities can be migrated.

Things which are not supported in NP17 and are used in your NP16 templates may be causing issues: Among others they are:

  • use variable filters
  • use of filters like Sum(Sales) > 200
  • linked fields
  • etc...

Because of thise differences not all reports can be migrated...

I encaurage you to review your reports first in NP16, modify them to contain only supported content and then try migrate again.

Lech
