need help in crosstab pivot

hi im new in QV and i need your help

i have this flat tables

Customer	Month	Amt
Dave	Jan	1,000
Dave	Feb	500
Dave	May	600
Dave	Dec	7000
John	Feb	5600
John	Mar	400

Into this kind of format

Customer	Jan	Feb	Mar	Apr	May	Jun	Jul	Aug	.....	Dec	Total
Dave
John

HI

Please find the image for your query. You have to select pivot table in the object selection and frist dim as Customer

Second dim as month

and in expersion you to select sum(amt)

com back to to presentaion tab (find the screen shot for the same)

select Month Diminsion and check the show patila sums check box.

and on the GUI select the mon the drag upward the blue arrow show in vertical way and leave in

im using Persnal Ed of QV.. and i try to do what u are trying to say.. i still dont have a tabular month column..... i saw the blue arrow but it doesnt take effect...

HI

Once you see blue arrow facing upwards then drag towards the right side of the oject near close button so that it chages from horizontal arrow to vrtical arrow

then release the mouse hold
