Sense cluster: how to force scheduler to use a specific engine ?

Hi,

I've the following environment:

  • Server A: Central
  • Server B: Scheduler + Engine (and Oracle drivers installed)
  • Server C: Engine (no Oracle driver installed)

When launching a reload, if the Engine on server B is used, the reload is OK (SQL queries executed because the Oracle driver is installed), but sometimes the reload fails because B is using the Engine on C, which doesn't have the proper Oracle drivers installed.

=> Question: How can I force the scheduler to use the Engine on the same server (server B here) ? Probably some kind of load balancing security rule, but which one ??

Thanks !

Thanks but are these load balancing rules used for the reload / the navigation or both ? I think it's for both but I cannot find a way to specify the context.

Load Balancing / Sync rules scope to Engines. Engines can do either/both delivery of front end applications or reloads. So both.

Do note that reloads in the Hub do not get routed to the Scheduler nodes for reloads. So in this scenario you would not be able to reload from the Hub.
