Unable to read Chinese Characters....please help

Hi

I am trying to build a QVD file. My source data is a DB2 table located on IBM AS/400 system. Some of the columns in the table contain Chinese characters. I am trying to load the table using ODBC and generate a QVD. Qlikview gives error when the load starts. I have attached the error long file below. If I exclude the columns with Chinese characters from the load statement then it works. I am using Windows 7 and my language settings for Non-Unicode programs is set to "Chinese" but still no good.

Has anybody experienced the same problem ??

Thanks a lot in advance for helping.

Mandar

Hi Mandar,

have you loaded chinese fonts into your Windows System??

If you know chinese is a pictorial language.. it doesn't contain alphabets, so there might be some problems in data load without the chinese fonts.

hope this helps

Hi Abhinav

thanks for your reply. Yes, I have already enabled Chinese font in my Windows. It still gives the same error when I try to load the script.
