NPrinting Outgoing mail server different in prod

We have an environment where the mail server is different between Dev, UAT, and Prod, for security reasons.

I would like to have only one NSQ file, but currently when I move the NSQ file to UAT or Prod I have to change the Outgoing mailserver to work in that environment.

QV support says you can not use an environmental variable for the server name.

Is anyone else running into this issue?

Does anyone know a workaround so you do not have to edit the NSQ every time you migrate.

Hi Michael,

I'm not sure what the issue is here as e-mail settings (among others) are not stored in NSQ files but rather in the NPrinting.ini file (%ProgramData%\NPrinting\NPrinting.ini). You can change the settings under Options without opening an NSQ. You can also directly change the settings in the ini file. Each of your environments need to be set up just once and there should be no need to change NSQ files or environment variables. Let me know if I'm missing something.

Thank you, that worked.

The docs I had showed the setup in the nsq file, this is much better.
