Dynamic subject in email nprinting 17.2.3

Is there any option for Dynamic subject in email nprinting 17.2.3?

I'm also interested in knowing this.  I have tried to add dynamic elements available to the report into the subject, but it doesn't auto-replace the tag with the value. The tag is just shown in the email inbox.

Hi,

QlikView or Qlik Sense Variables at the moment (February 2018) are not supported in the subject.

You can add them in the body by using a simple workaround. Create an HTML report with the content you need and embed it into the email body.

Note that the embedding HTML reports into email bodies feature is available starting from November 2017.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Thanks for your response... but this doesn't really solve our problem. Is this request already added to the backlog? Will dynamic subjects be available at some point?

Since the whole point of NPrinting is to email out scheduled reports, it feels like a no brainer that we should be able to add some dynamic elements into the subject, (e.g. dates, summary counts, etc.) so that users can get a quick idea of what the email is about; vs. just a generic subject that doesn't help users distinguish between the reporting time period.

Hi,

Support for QlikView and Qlik Sense variables in the email subjects will be added but right now we don't know when.

Ruggero

Good Afternoon Ruggero,

Do you have any news about the release of this feature?

When will it be possible to insert variables in the email subject?

Best Regards,

Hi,

All new feature are listed on the official Release Notes of each version and they are documented in the help site. So my first suggestion is always read the release notes when you download and install a new version.

Dynamic subjects are not included in November 2018.

Ruggero
