Hii I am totally new to use Qliksense
so my question might be basic one
I need to copy an excel file from a server(remote machine) to my local machine
Could you please advise how I do this using Qliksense script
The script will simply point to the excel file wherever it is. As long as the machine you are on can see the file location you should be good.
It might be easier if the file was local. But it really doesn't matter.
I would suggest that you view some videos on YouTube to help understand how Qlik ingests data and some basic scripting.
Try some thing like this:
xcopy /y "path_of_local_machine\Qlikview.qvw" "path_of_remote_machine"
just drag the excel file from your windows explorer over your qlik app when opened and it will guide you through the process.
Let me ask you some questions for better understanding :
Do you have access to the Excel file on the remote machine via shared folder ?
The remote machine have Qlik Sense Server ?
