QlikView Upgrade from 9.0 to 10.0 SR3

My company is Upgrading from Qlikview 9.0 SR3 to Qlikview 10.0 SR3. I have few questions. I would really appreciate if some one answer this for me.

1. IE lugin is integrated with the server? Or we have to download it?

2. Publisher is integrated with the server or we have to install it seperately?

3. Clients or users do they need to install IE Plugin for the new version?

4. IE Plugin for 10.0 SR3 is available seperately, apart from being inside Qlikview ?

5. Any issues with installing latest SAP connector with version 10.0SR3?

6. Any known issues, things to know or take care of regarding upgradation? 

I hope to get answers from this awesome Qlikview community. Thansk in advance.

Hi,

1.- IE Plugin is now not a separate download. When you install Server make sure you click on the advanced installation and select the QlikView Clients

2.- Publisher is an additional license to Server. If you license already have it, you still have it. As in version 9 there is no need of additional installation.

3.- It's highly recommended that the version of all servers and clients is the same, so yes, they will need to install it again.

4.- Answered in 1

5.- Not that I'm aware of. Anyway, both Connector and Server release notes are worth reading.

6.- There is a step by step guide on how to upgrade in the Release Notes. Make sure you follow them all.

5. Any issues with installing latest SAP connector with version 10.0SR3?

If you installing latest SAP Connecto then you have to retransport the transport file and have to give authorization accordingly.

We are up and running on 10 SR3 with the latest connector with no major problems.
