date dimension - qlik sense

Hi

using qlik sense

I have the following as a dimension

=

IF(Date>=Date(Today()-70),Date)

this shows latest 10 weeks activity on a chart / dashboard

however... I wish to be able to pick a date from a filter (WeekCommencing), but if the week commencing date is before the latest 10 weeks of activity, it just shows me 10 weeks of activity from the week commencing date chosen

please help

=IF(Date>=Date(Max(TOTAL DateField)-70),Date)

This now shows only that week chosen, but is showing 10 weeks from the date

so if I chose 01/01/2018... this will give me 29/10/2017 and is showing past 01/01/2018 up to todays date

so if I chose 01/01/2018 I just want it to show me

01/01/2017 to 29/10/2017

please help
