Data not reacting to sorting in Measures

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue where qlik will not sort any of my measures. I need this chart to show this descending by employees in Workday, but it will not respond to sorting. I have tried in the right hand side panel as well, using auto and custom but it still will not sort in the chart.

Employees in Workday Expression:

=Count([WDE.W_CODE])

Let me know if you can help, thanks in advance!

Its just a straight table

did you try with Auto as Sorting and click on the column header to sort it ASC or DESC ?

I tried that, and when it didn't work I tried a custom sort and that has not worked either.

Hi Erica,

Qlik sometimes behave strange when editing table. Try to delete all table and create brand new. For me it allways help.

When I was rebuilding the table it was sorting correctly until I put in the color function:

=if(Even(RowNO(total))=0,$(En.Light),White())

Should I be using a different background color function to allow it to sort?

Hi Erica,

this "isssue" is due to RowNo function. "Sorting on y-values in charts or sorting by expression columns in tables is not allowed when RowNo() is used in any of the chart's expressions. These sort alternatives are therefore automatically disabled."

So if you apply colors, sorting on measures will be disabled.
