Qlik Sense Variables

I need to be able to save a user's input (via an input box or something else)  I have installed SimpleFieldSelect extension.  The user enters some text.  I would like to save that text along with the user selections into a bookmark.

How can this be accomplished?

Why not just have the user create a bookmark and enter their text in the bookmark description?

We do have story feature in Qlik Sense for this.

No need to use variable

create bookmark with selections

and then enter your text into the description box

The variables are part of the selection and I would like to have that information saved with the bookmark as well as the selections in the list box.

You could modify your extension to parse the variables and add them as filters (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/2.2/Subsystems/APIs/Content/MashupAPI/Methods/select-met...)  and then create the bookmark (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/1.0/Subsystems/Workbench/Content/BuildingWebsites/API/ql...)

These are more text the user is entering that I am planning on passing outside of Qlik.  I was hoping the bookmark feature would be able to save the value in the input box in case the user wanted to go to the same spot.

What I am seeing and reading, that this is not possible now.
