Hello all,

I tried installing Qliksense April 2018, November 2017, February 2018 etc version on my laptop several times but everytime it failed with "Error Occured in installation". Till today morning Qliksense 3.2 version was running fine it asked me for upgrade i tried it but its failing since then.

Machine specifications-

Windows 10, 64-bit, 4GB RAM.

I checked log files but could not find anything else than below error-

Error 0x80070641: Failed to configure per-user MSI package.

Please help on this.

I have the same problem!!!!!!!!!

I just got a new laptop at work, the old one had Windows 7 and QS worked just fine. The new one has Windows 10 and QS installer does not work at all, I get the very same error message

I have found other threads but none of the provided answers work...

You may try the follow steps to check if these methods fixes the issue:

Method 1: Check Windows Installer service.

Go to Start > Run > type in services.msc > OK.

The Services window will open, scroll down to Windows Installer and double click on it.

The Properties window will open, on the drop down menu (Start up type) select 'automatic' > OK and close windows.

Reboot PC and hopefully it will work for you.

If issue persist, proceed to next method.

Method 2: Unregister and re-register the Windows Installer

Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs.

Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs, or you may briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete.

Try your Windows Installer-based application again.

If it still has issues just try running windows updates and see if that helps.

Thanks, Liam.
I tried both Methods unsucessfully

Also tried all updates (which were just two minor ones)...

Nothing seems to work...
