HI
My server is low performance now. And I notice that qvwebserver has a heavy load. Can I install 2 servers, which one installed qvwebserver and the other installed qvs? And how can I reduce load in server but not clustering.
Thank you
Zhou
I have to say that this environment seems to be installed incorrectly. Do you have two management consoles running? Otherwise, I don't see how you can get the different results in the "Services" view - if not status changed in between screenshots. Rule: one QlikView environment - one running Management Service/Command Center (and Management Console).
Like Daniel says; don't have all services on both machines. Especially not two QMS/CC.
hi Stefan
I have 2 servers each has 1 QEMC service. The screenshots which you find is of different servers.
Server qv: run: QVS service QEMC service
Server qvs2003 run: QVWS , QEMC service
Is it correct?
No, this is not correct.
You can do it like this:
Server qv: run: QVS service, QEMC service
Server qvs2003 run: QVWS service
Then, you only use the "Server qv" Management console. And hope that's where the main QVPR database is stored, which I have not idea of at this point - it might be on any of the two machines.
I follow you as :
Server qvs2003 installed only qvws
Server QV run all services and link qvs2003's qvws service, but I get the error.
Yes, you can. Just make sure that you can access the QVWS on that URL from 1) the server that has Management Service/Command Center installed; http://qvs2003:4750/qvws.asmx and 2) from the machine with QVS installed. Also make sure that the firewall on "qvs2003" has port 4750 open.
I guess that the problem is windows security
I can visit http://localhost:4750/qvws.asmx from qvs2003 itself.
But failed when visit http://qvs2003:4750/qvws.asmx from server qv.
And when I visit, the system asked the username and password. I try 2 account. (QV\administrator and QVS2003\administrator) Both accounts are not permitted when click YES.
Are you using IIS on the web server?
Yes I use iis on webserver. But iis is used in other site.
I use qlikview buildin webserver as qvws.
Ok. Login as the service account on both machines and try and access the same URL. Make sure that the service account is a member of the local group QlikView Administrators on both machines. (If added, logout and in the user again).
I have tried the 2 sever's service account, both of the are in the local qlikview administrators group. No use.
Do you think if I uninstall IIS in server qvs2003 the problem will be solved?
