Hi!!
Is there any way to create an alert in Qlik Sense like the alerts in Qlikview?
Thank a lot!
Paula
Hi Arnaldo,
I installed Email tool in my server but I have some confusion on its behavior. It is triggering email for one month old failed task every day to me ? Can you please tell me why it is happening and if there is something I need to do in configuration please help me to do it.
Best,
Rohit
I have set this up on my system using a free connector supplied by Qlik and then adding a little code to the script.
Can you tell me which free connector you are talking about ?
Hi Rohit,
Sorry for the late reply, I was away if you haven't resolve your issue these are my suggestion:
Hi Paula,
You can use LLodi Writer Connector to define alerts in Qlik Sense.
It's really easy, you can define the conditions in your script and choose how do you want to receive the alert (by mail, Slack, SMS...) Here is an example with Slack.
Feel free to reach me if you have any question.
is this freeware or paid?
You can create a Free Account in the platform here. LLodi has a subscription business model, but there is a free tier so you can use a version for free. Forever, not a trial.
Hi Shraddha,
The link I posted earlier in this long-old thread is free, and it works beautifully, you could find it in Qlik Branch with directions to install it, be aware I posted two links, one of them install a component-extension on the QlikSense server and allows you to trigger an e-mail any time a job breaks, while the second link allows us to code messages within the load script. They do not need anything else, no connectors, just read and follow up the installation instructions.
Hope this helps,
Arnaldo
Hi Arnaldo,
I couldn't find the download and instruction for LLodi Writer Connector. Can you please guide me how to install it.
Thanks,
Rohit
Hi @Rohit,
You have to create an account first in LLodi Platform,https://platform.llodi.com/llodiFree/ then in the sidebar there is a "Downloads" tab.
Once you have the zip file, you have to install it like any other custom connector. Copy the files from the zip into the directory (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvLLodiConnector)
Once you have unzipped the files in your directory you have to add the connector as a new Data Connection.
