QlikView server front-end can be handled by IIS or the QlikView web server. What is the most frequent configuration and why?
From my experience it seems that IIS advantages are:
* the product is known and used by most windows administrators
* it is a robust and trusted product
...while QVWS is mostly easier to deploy.
I see QVWS is used in most enterprises and IIS used only when there is a strict policy about what software can be installed and how the network is used.
However I do not have a lot of contact with customers so it is difficult to know if my experience is reliable. Could you please provide some insights about what is the preferred web server for QlikView along with explanation about how the choice was made?
