Pass data from another application to Qlikview Web

Hi

We use a CRM package called Saleslogix and would like to pass information to qlickview to interogate our database and filter reports.

For example if we have A.N.Other Company records selected we would press a button and it would fire up Internet Explorer and Open our Qlickview report and select a pre defined report and filter it to just show A.N.Other Company's records etc....

Could someone please tell me if this is possible and where to look for further information for me to be able to do this.

Thanks!

Regards

Sagar

I'm not sure how you apply the logic to a chart(assuming the CH252 in your example is a chart), based on the fact that you potentially have multiple fields.

The logic works if you use a list box, because it has a single dedicated field.  You should be able to apply the same logic against a multibox, but the url would need to include another level to identify the field.

Good luck,

B

I think the information outlined by Kaushik Solanki in the thread http://community.qlik.com/message/131645 describes what you are looking for.  The attached document 'Selection Parameters in the URL.docx' discusses how to pass parameters in the URL for AJAX only clients.

Good luck,

I managed to get this far :-

http://192.168.10.14/QvAjaxZfc/AccessPoint.aspx?open=&id=QVS@monza%7CAccount.qvw&client=Ajax&select=...

It opens up qlikview and the file Account.qvw all ok but fails to limit the report to just show sales for our rep AW....

Is there a way I could do this perhaps even if it is a procedure?

Thanks for the help!

Hi

I have tried that, as well as:-

select=Server\CH252,AW

.... it still does not work, could it be something to do with the way Qlikview Server is set up?

Thanks for the help!
