More than 3 types of conditional formatting?

Morning,

I have a pivot table which contains various numeric values.

I'd like to colour code these to create a heatmap, by changing cell background colours.

It seems you can only set three different colours.

Is there anyway to get more colours?

Thanks,

R

Hi,

you can define the background colour with an expression. Open the + before the expression and there you find a field "background colour".

Do you have an example of a condition?

I'm new to the syntax of QlikView expressions 🙂

Hi,

Under the Expression Tab, click on the sign which is on the left hand side of the expression. Then you can use the BackGround Color and Text Color options. You can write nested IF statements based on number conditions/colors you wanted to specify. Also, you can use the Pick function to get this working.

I am attaching a screenshot for you reference. I hope this helps!
