Issue with Access Point using Safari for Windows

Using Safari for windows OS to enter to the accesspoint doesn't work, only shows the main page but not shows the little login window just stays with doing nothing, but using IE, Firefox or Chrome it works perfectly, im using QVS 10 SR3.

Does anyone have the same problem?

or someone knows if this is a bug?

Or anybody can tell me if safari for windows is not compatible for Qlikview accesspoint??

Thanks!

P.D. Using Safari on Iphone i can enter to access point with no problem using the same network.

Indeed, Access Point is visible in Safari under IOS 5, but it does not show any document. Urgent solution requested.

Hi there,

I've got a solution: instal Qlikview Server 11 (beta) and use in the Accesspoint (on the Ipad or Iphone (that's what I used)) the option: "Web browser" and not the option: "Web Browser on Small Debives".

I've als set the security (>system>setup) on "allow anonymous" and the autorisation on "login".

Hope that it will work for you.

All,

I opened up a case with QV support and they immediately made available a customer patch.   The patch fixes the issue and allows ios5 devices to see accesspoint through safari.   Seemed very transparent and installed right over the old one.

I recommend folks reach out to their support folks and get the patch.

Just a thought,

Thanks David

I contacted support as well, and they immediately sent through the details on how to get the patch. Installed it without any problems and everything is working 100% again now.

What is the link to download this patch?

I am using QV10 SR3.  Just curious if you uninstalled the previous build of QlikView, before installing the patch?  Or, if you just installed the patch over the current build?

Also, did you run across any issues where this patch may have caused problems with something else?

Thanks,

Dan

This patch is no longer required.

I've just spoken to QlikView support and apparently this bug is classified as "43890".

"This issue has been fixed in the newest service release of version 10. This is 10SR4, please update you QlikView Server to this version to fix your problem."

Hope this helps.

Just upgraded to QV10 SR4, and I can confirm that both Safari and iPad now works nicely.

I have the same problem with Version 10.3 (9061), my support in Mexico told me to install QlikView components of Version 10.4 (9274 or 9282) and the problem for using Safari was resolved. But now I have another problem with this solution: ListBoxes, Sliders, TextBoxes are not working well: They change their sizes and appear scroll bars, the legends into Sliders are not well displayed, Grid styles change to non GridStyles, jump lines in TextBoxes as well in another objects, are ignored (chr(13))... When I´m back to QV 10.3 (9061) everything is Ok again, except of course using Safari. My support now says that this will be resolved with QV Version 11.0, Is this true?... All this occurs not only using QV Server, allready occurs with QV Desktop. I tried to insert some images of this isues but the insert image function send me an error of method. Pardon my English... Thanks...
