Application.qvw is being opened Message appears

Hi,

When one of our user try to open the qlikview application through the access points (IE Plug-In). it shows message "Application.qvw is being opened" and no other error appears. application would not be opened. and IE window going in not responding state.

Can any one help me regarding this issue...

Dear Maguel,

As per your suggestion, We checked using qvp://server_Name/ ans found that the application is opening but QV 9 function (eg Button used to got to next ) are not working. We also reinstalled the QV plugin 9 as well but then also we facing same problem. we also checked the IE setting as mentioned in previous post.

Can you suggest other alternatives ????

Hi Yoguesh,

Then the issue is in either a bug in the version of QlikView (use the SR7 update for QlikView 9 or the SR4 update for version 10) or in the code used in that button. Is that a macro? If so, how the code looks like? Is that an action? Did it work using Server previously?

Dear Maguel,

But the same reports are opening or working fine through the access points at the some users end . but for some users faced the same problem. In those reports, we are using simple inbuild action (Activate sheet, Set varibale etc) not macro. we are using QV 9 SR4 server as well as QV plug-in. And previuosly we were using QV 8.5. Last 2 months before we migrated the server from QV 8.5 to QV 9 SR4.

Yogesh,

Are all users using the same version of Internet Explorer? Did you check the Release Notes for QlikView 9 SR4 to see whether some network or browser configuration may be affecting?

Hi Yogesh,

  With QV 8.5 all users were working fine ?

  All users are running the same Windows version ? 

  They use a Full Desktop or they use Citrix / Terminal Services Client ?

  This problem happened to me but when the plug-in wasn´t installed correctly or when conflicts with some IE Taskbars plug-ins from Ask, Google, Babylon, etc.

All user are access reports using Same IE version (IE 7). They access reports which are simple i.e except Button which are use to move one sheet to another or set varibale but they can not access report with action button

Dear Pablo,

All users were wokring fine with 8.5 Version.

and all users use Microsoft Windows XP professional  version 2002 service Pack2

as well as they are using full desktop
