Where to change timeout ?

Hi,

i have these logs in the session log file :

Session expired after idle time          2012-02-06 10:32:39          00:07:28

or

Session expired after elapsed time          2012-02-06 10:49:07          00:10:15

The problem is that i have configured the QV Server (v10R4) to have session longer than that

Possible session timeout:                                                                            600s

Maximum inactive session time:                                                                            1800s

Maximum total session time:                                                                            0s

I understand the possible session timeout is only 10 minutes but nobody is working on the server except one User (with his user cal) so it should not give his session to anyone..

Should i look somewhere else for another timeout ?

and should i stop and restart QV Server after changing sessions timeout or Apply is enough ?

I would recommend restarting the QlikView Server Service after making any changes it.  These setting are stored in a config file, and are only loaded when the service is started.

The answer was in another thread :

i had forgotten to change the timeout IN the document itself, in the Document Settings / Server tab
