Cannot open any Qlikview documents I create!!

Hi, I have downloaded and installed the personal edition of Qlikview 11. (I had to reinstall at one point).

If I create a Qlikview document, then close it, I cannot reopen it as it says it was created by another user.

I have tried uninstalling QLikview again and removed any registry entries relating to QV and any files or folders ANYWHERE!! I then reinstall, create BRAND NEW file, close it and cannot reopen it.

There must be a simple solution to this - can anybody please help me?

Hi,

This is the problem with using personal edition. If you create a document from a particular machine. You can only open that document from that machine and not from anywhere else.

maybe something of the old installation is left on your machine.

if so, qlikview could use the "wrong" "signature" to identify the machine which created the file.

have you tried to uninstall qlickview with an uninstaller which deletes leftovers from the installation (like f.e. revo uninstaller) ?
