Can I have more than one colour on my boxplot

Hi

I have created a boxplot chart on some data - it looks like this:

Boxplot1.png

My users have asked if I can show this with more than one colour - I have manipulated the screenshot using image editing software to show how they would like it to look:

Boxplot2.png

Is this possible in QlikView?

Thanks

Brian

Hi,

Have you tried using Bacground color option for the expression (On click the + sign in the expression)?

This was one of the things I tried, but in a boxplot chart QlikView only appears to use the Background Colour setting from the first expression, so you still get all the same colour.

Any other ideas?

thanks anyway

Hi Brian,

I don't have the solution with box plot, but as long as long you are interested in High Low and Mid... It can be done using stacked barcharts with right offsets...

Let me know if it works for you...

No, the bar here can have one color only. As Brian has said, you need to use stacked bars.

Hi all,

I know this question was asked a while back but thought I would post my solution anyway in case anyone else needs it.

To get a separate colour for the bottom section of your box plot you need to create two separate box plots. In the first one set the Box Plot Bottom to be the same as the middle value (i.e. Fractile (Value, 0.5)) then in the second box plot set the bottom one as usual (0.25) and set the top one to be 0.5. You will then get two different coloured sections.

Kind Regards,

Grace
