Issue with Distribution Task

I am experiencing this weird behavior with Publisher 8.5.

I have set up a job with a two reload tasks and a distribution task that has the last reload task as the dependency.

For the distribution task, I have selected Access Point as the allowed resource.

When I execute the job, I do not get any errors. The reload tasks run successfully and I can see that the QVDs have been updated.

However the distribution task is not adding the file to the mounted folder for AccessPoint. There are no errors, but I see this line in the log:

"Performed quick completion, nothing to distribute". This is the only difference between this task and all the other tasks that have run successfully.

Since, I am fairly new with Publisher, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Amit

Are the users you try to distribute to members of the security group you added to the Accesspoint Resource?

Hello Jerry, thanks for replying.

The user that I am trying to distribute is a member of the Recipient group added to the Accesspoint resource.

Did you find a solution to this?

Guys, I've had this problem before. Check what QT Support told me to do, it did help me.

The best practice is to set the Accesspoint Resource security at the top level of any directories being used versus specifying specific users and groups to avoid mismatches and then using the Distribution tasks in order to lock things down to only they users/groups that should have access to apps via the Accesspoint. For further explanation, please review chapter 8 of the Publisher Reference Manual regarding Recipients, which explains things in further detail.

"Performed quick completion, nothing to distribute". Have at least one user/group who is listed in the recipients of distribution task AND in the recipients of the access point
