Is there a way to script the allocation of Cals ?

I've a customer who target to have more than 1000 users accessing QlikView using Document cals.

The list of users granted to use a document cals is resident in an external database as it's maintained for the rights management of an internal application.

Is it possible to script the allocation/deletion of CALs : number a document can have and which users are given them ?

It could be tricky to maintain manually so many uers.

Any idea ? Thx

Hi Pascal,

Use the QV Power Tools for that. Although they are unofficially supported, they have been developed by QlikTech engineers and will save lots of time doing that kind of tasks.

Note that you can allow dynamic assignment and fix the number of licenses to be assigned to each document and play with that. But those exe files in the Power Tools can be scheduled using Windows to modify an assignment.

Hope that helps.
