Date Slider tool tip problem with web view

I'm having a problem with a date slider showing the number value of a date rather than the date in the tool tip via webview but fine in desktop/dev view.

Has anyone had this problem and is their a fix.

v_Startdate = 01/01/2012

v_Enddate = 01/03/2012

Slider object

Multi Value

Min = v_Startdate

Max = v_Enddate

step = 1

Number Format = date

I have a similar problem with selecting years with a slider object.

In the desktop version everything is fine, but in web view, the text is shown like "2002,4".

Have you set the format for the field or variable in the Document settings | Numbers tab as well?
