Hi all,

In my current server machine having permissions of 5 CAL's.All the 5 CAL's are using different users.

Now i need to run a QVW file that should find the 5 CAL's are using repeteadly or not.

Consider User1 is not using the Named CAL for last 5 hours then we needs kill the User1 Named CAL.

Is this possible ?

Thanks in advance.

Veer.

Hi Veer,

Named and Document CAL licenses in QlikView have a 24 hour quarantine period, that means that you need to wait 24 hours (never less than that) from the last use of the license to be able to remove the assignment, and reassign the license to another user.

Check here in the Documents section the Power Tools to read how many CALs are in use at any given time in the Server.

Hope that helps.

Hi Veer,

They are stored into .PGO and .META files where the root folder is located, along with LEF.txt file in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech

Hope that helps.

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for reply.

In C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\ folder only .PGO files are able to view but not able to view .META files.

If we clear teh .PGO Files and .META files information, then in QEMC --> System --> License --> Assigned CAL's will be removed or not.

if not how can we remove the CAL's in QEMC from the .PGO ,.META Files or any other files ?

Thanks in advance.

This is not the way to clear the license.  Miguel is correct in his reply. What you are looking at doing violates your license agreement.
