Is it possible to alter the display of my AccessPoint URL

Getting ready to implement QV10 and instead of having the AccessPoint URL displayed as http://company-qv10/qlikview/index.htm, is it possible to have it display as http://company-qv10/dashboards/index.htm or something similar without too much difficulty or actually changing file names, etc?

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

Yes, If you are using the QlikView webserver all you have to do is add another virtual folder called DashBoard in the QEMC. See the attach screen shots.

If you are using IIS you will have to add a virtual folder in IIS and point it to the same location as the QlikView Virtual folder is pointing to.

Yeah, But my question is. How to put an Username and Password for each Model? because I have different Clients and I need to show just one model for Client. The idea is client enter into Access Point and put his username and password.

Thanks...

Hi pgalvezt,

U can go for DMS Security Authorization where you can make use of AD or custom users with Qv login page and can force user to put userid and password to access document.

Hope this is what you are looking for..

Hi,

Can someone advice me how to set an alias name(URL) to QlikView AccessPoint URL.

My company website management team approved alias name registration for one of my windows server. But I am not sure how to set this up in QlikView.          I wanted to use URL: http://COMPANYNAME/qlikview/index.htm instead of deafult URL: http://SERVERNAME/qlikview/index.htm, but not sure how to accomplish this.

Can anyone pls advice.

Guess my question was answered above, but I am not able to see screenshots from above,if would be great if someone can post those screenshots.
