Using IE plugin tunneling issue

Hi,
I am using a macro for downloading images from my report. Hence, i have used IE plugin.
But i am facing some tunneling issue due to which i am unable to view my report.
I have already checked port 4747 open on both sides.
I have also checked link address and domain name of my server.
Please can anyone help me urgently.

Thanks.

Hey Sup,

What kind of error message are you getting when trying to access the document from the QVS?

Hi Sup,

This issue comes only with IE plugin and sometime if you connect from your Qlikview desktop to server using qvp protocol. Check with ajax zero footprint.

Which web server are you using?

Go thru this post: http://community.qlik.com/thread/20072

The tunneling error comes because when IE plugin is used it internally doesn't send the request using http protocol to webserver, it uses QVP protocol to directly connect to Qlikview server and it shift to tunneling. To make this work, QVtunnel.dll needs to be installed at server location which by default doesn't get installed if we are not using IIS web server.

Hope this help,

Anosh

HI Supriya,

Try after opening port 4747.

See this thread:  http://community.qlik.com/thread/49051

By the way, have you tried accessing this url from IE: http://localhost/scripts/qvtunnel.dll?test

Hope this help,
