line feed in ajax Firefox etc

Hi

Has anyone been able to get linefeeds to be rendered in a Firefox ajax client? (For QV9)

I have tried a lot of combinations of \n, \r, (chr(13) and chr(10).

Several of them are rendered as linefeeds in IE8, but none of them are in Firefox.
