Conditional Highlighting

Hi,

I'm currently trying to highlight a single column on the x axis of a bar graph. The criteria for highlighting is dependent on the value of the x axis though, not the outcome of the expression on the y axis.

What I've done for the moment is created an input box that defines the variable 'OrgName'. If that matches the name of the organisation on the x axis, I'd like it to highlight. I've tried if([Org Name]=Orgname,red() but to be honest, I'm a complete rookie with Qlikview, so not entirely sure what I'm doing.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Dan.

You can expand the expression on the Expressions tab and set the Background and Text colours.

See the attached example where I change the colour to red if the Dept = 'IT'.

Hi John,

Sorry for not replying sooner! The project I was working on has temporarily been put on hold. At the time, I looked at the QV file and couldn't find what you mentioned in there. I tried replicating the solution myself in what I was working on, but again to no avail.

When I come back to it, I'll spend a little more time trying to get it working again. Thank you for your response though!
