Oracle connector

Hi,

Can we use oracle connector to connect the database for extracting data. Normally we are using odbc or oledb provider to extract data from the oracle database.

Is it possible to use oracle connector for extracing data in Qlikview?

Hi,

You just need to install the Oracle Data Access Components and configure your TNS, etc., and then you should be able to use either OLEDB or ODBC. Note that there are specific versions (as of 10g) for 32bit and 64bit. Had a client with a 64bit server and tried to install the 9i drivers - didn't work because they only came in 32bit version.

In general, the latest version of the ODAC should be able to talk to any supported Oracle version.
