TasknotFound - EDX QV11

Hi,

I'm trying to call an EDX task on QlikView Server (without Publisher) but I receive an error message:

Failed to start the task due to the following error: TaskNotFound

The qvw is called EDX.qvw and the task was named automatically as "Reload of EDX.qvw".

I also tried to call the task as EDX, EDX.qvw, etc

I used the commandline tool present here

http://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-2650

Any help will be appreciated

Regards,

Erich

Hi,

I started the task manually on QMC and checked the name the server gave to the task.

The name was FOLDER/EDX.QVW (... not FOLDER\EDX.QVW) . I used it on the command line and it worked.

Erich

Hi,

Could you be specific on how you traced the folder name.

I am trying to execute task with name "Mount_Dashboard"  which is in System >> Supporting Tasks >> External Program of QMC. I get an error of task not found.

I saw the task on QMC and started it using the ' > ' play button.

Then, at the top right corner, I open the 'Show log' and checked the details.

The task name was there in a line similar to task FOLDER/EDX.QVW finished successfully.

I'd say that it will just be the path you used to find your qvw inside QMC to schedule the task

I guess that if you put it on the root folder, the name will just be 'YOURFILE.QVW'

(I used QVS enterprise without publisher. I also tried in a server with publisher and it's easier because you can name the task whatever you want)

Hope it helps,

Erich
