SMTP in QV 11

Hi All,

How to configure SMTP server details in Qlikview 11, I can see only option to add email address whenever a taks fails it alerts.

In Version 9 we used have option to add mail exchnage deatils.

Note: we dont have publisher license only server.

Hi, to setup the SMTP information you must access the section "Mail Server" in the tree on the left.

I tried, but I am not getting email alerts when any tasks fails.

If you are using a provider with encryption (TTL/SSL) like gmail server its more complicated, I think QlikView doesn't support it, however I'm not sure about it.

What email server type are you using?

Are you able to send a testmail from console ?

Yahoo is a good one. It doesn't use SSL by default and if you want to use that you have to pay for it. I tested this last week for another post and it does work.

And uncomment:

[gmail-smtp]

client = yes

accept = 127.0.0.1:25

connect = smtp.gmail.com:465

Then in the QEMC set your server address to 127.0.0.1

How to configure QV mail server using yahoo..

I have an yahoo email id now.. is that enough? Can u please provide me the host name and port number etc.
