Creating a Vtop variable..

Hello there everyone!

I have been doing some reading on the Vtop variable regarding showing N parameters in a chart(for example). It appears in the following link:

http://community.qlik.com/thread/28896?tstart=0

The only thing I couldn't find out is how to create that variable???

Once I have created it in the variable via syntax "=$(vtop)", i couldn't see it under "edit expressions -> variables" and as well in the slider under "General -> Variables".

In short - how and where do I initially create this variable so I can see it through all of the object relevant?

Thanks in advance!

Evya

Evya,

in QlikView Desktop, go to Settings>Variable Overview. It will open up a window in which you can manage the app variables. You can add a new variable by clicking in 'Add'.

Hope this helps you
