Qualified fields

Dear all,

I'm moving my first steps with QLIKVIEw and I'm wondering  whether it's better to use qualified fields or not.

Does anyone can put me on the right track ?

Hi, QV automatically creates relations between fields with the same name across the tables in your datamodel. So in many cases you have to use qualified fields (qualify *;) and specifically unqualify the (key) fields you actually want to relate to each other. This to setup your datamodel correctly. Otherwise you'll probably end up having synthetic keys all over the place. Regards, Sander
