how to load.txt files in qlikview?

Hi,

I am having a new requirement, my data source is .txt files.how can load this files in qlikview.

can anyone helpme with an example.

Hi baru,

Go to Edit Script->from "Table Files" button you can select the txt file and then reload.

Thanks for your reply,

I know this will load the files,but i am getting all the data into one column.this is wrong.

the data is not in proper way in .txt file.How can i consolidate into correct formate in qlikview.

Hi, baru

You have to select an appropriate dilimiter symbol and maybe skip some rows as a header.

Look at the attachment.

Hi,

It looks like you will have to choose a custom delimiter symbol, probably #. Try that to se if your data looks ok.

thanks for your valuable answers.

I got some idea about loading .txt files,but in my other file when i am giving delimiter is '#' it is dividing into columns but column names is showing @1,etc...

and also when i am giving delimiter is '#',in one column it is showing 'home/shop/familily' how can i eliminate '/' and divide it into ather columns.

please help me.
