QVW, QVD file in shared location

Hi,

We are planning to keep the QVD file on some other server in shared location and QVW file on another server. Is it possible to access the QVD available on network shared path.

Hi,

The short answer is yes, it is possible. In the script, use always the UNC paths in the form \\SERVER\SharedResource\Folder\File.qvd to load it instead of mapped drives D:\Folder\File.qvd. But note that one of the biggest advantages of using QVD files is the speed in data loading, that might be influeced by the network infrastructure if the link between the computer that hosts the QVW files and the computer that hosts the QVD files does not have an excellent latency and connection.

Hope that helps.
